Dove Hunting Reservations Available Now..BOOK TODAY!

SalmonSacRiver guide service, in conjunction with several other local guide service, are offering guided dove hunts for the 2022 dove season. These guided dove hunts will take place during the first four days of the split season (Thursday September 1st - Sunday September 4th). Guest groups are limited to no more then six hunters in their party. Each party will be assigned to their own specific location. Hunts will start at 3:00pm, running until the end of legal shooting time. A valid 2022 California hunting license and upland game bird stamp will be required and provided to your guide prior to the start of your hunting trip. NON-TOXIC shotgun shells are required by state law to be used on these hunts. No firearms will be provided on these hunts. It is up to the individual hunter to supply their own weapons and ammunition for the trip. Guest are responsible for knowing and following all CDF&W laws and regulations. Guests will be dropped off at their own hunting locations, and will be picked up by the guide at the end of their hunt. Hunting dogs are welcome for the retrieval of downed birds. Dogs must be kept on a leash during the boat ride to and from your hunting location. The cost of the five hour hunting trip will run $300 per adult, kids sixteen years of age and younger will receive a -$50 discount for these trips. A deposit of $50 per hunter will be required when booking a reservation for these prime dates. All hunters WILL NOT be accompanied by their guide during their hunt.

A exceptional amount of Morning Dove combined with a solid population of Eurasian Dove are still taking up residence in the greater Northern California area. Due to the extensive heat wave that has set in on Northern California over the past two weeks, the Morning Dove population has continued to stay in the region. Typically a cold spell sets in days or even weeks prior to the dove opener. Running the majority of Morning Dove to Southern California and Mexico. At current time the weather forecast is not projected to change and triple digit heat is predicted through the first half of the split dove season. Great news for hunters. Flocks of hundreds of Morning Dove have been witnessed moving into the gravel bars of the Sacramento River for water and gravel during the late afternoon and evening hours. Due to the historic drought the lack of available water has made the dove seek out the banks of the Sacramento River. Recent scouting trips have unveiled endless opportunities for hunters partaking in the annual tradition of dove hunting. Prompting SalmonSacRiver to offer these first four days of the split season to customers who may not have their own hunting locations, or access to outstanding dove hunting. We expect these days to be sold out fast. Calling us to book a reservation ASAP is highly suggested. Each hunt will consist of locations not previously hunted.
